Design Process
The Experimental Camera I had created used
tracking of the mouse position and accessing the device camera to
portray how we choose what parts of ourselves we want to show or hide
from the world.
The main goal of my consentful interface of the camera was to explain
its purpose, the information it would use based on user activities,
reassure them that no data would be stored, recorded or used and allow
them the option to change their mind should they feel uncomfortable
giving this information. I also wanted to use a language which does not
seem overwhelming or pressurizing and gives the users a fair choice
based on available information.

Reflections
I chose to keep the user constent part of the camera as simple as
possible so that users would focus on the information provided without
getting distracted. This would help them understand what data they would
be sharing and how it would affect the outcome of the camera.
Based on the F.R.I.E.S. model I focused on giving all information
FREELY, helping users make INFORMED decisions, giving them
the option to change their mind and REVERSE their decision while
keeping the information SPECIFIC. These according to me were the
most important considerations during th assignment. I used the language
to make the user decisions ENTHUSIASTIC rather than forced or
obligated.
